The National Academic Publication and Indexing System is part of the Special National Indexes of Academic Publications (SNIAP) and an abstract and indexing database with full-text of academic publications and links that is produced and supported under the Nigeria Education Repository and Databank (NERD) programme.
What is covered?
SNIAP primarily carries out indexing of journals and ranking of publications. SNIAP is however much more as it is a prestigious platform for Nigerian and African academic journals, providing access to a wide range of research articles, books, conference proceedings, etc in various fields (scientific, art, humanities, social sciences, agriculture, engineering, law, finance and accounting, medicine, religious studies, language, artificial intelligence, emerging fields, etc) of study.
This Indexing Service is Nigeria's authoritative and official platform for the submission, tracking, and indexing of research outputs and institutional academic records.
What about students?
SNIAP also provide a national plartform for the submission of academic outputs by Nigerian students across all cadres or categories of tertiary institutions and post-secondary schools covering original research, literature reviews, experimenter works, and even futile hypotheses.
