Welcome to the registration and enrolment system of the Nigeria Education Repository and Databank (NERD) programme. The Electronic System for the Management and Administration of Thesis (eSMAT) is a principal service of NERD for Nigerian students across all cadres or categories of tertiary institutions covering original research, literature reviews, experimenter works, and even futile hypotheses.

It takes less than 5 minutes for an existing institution to onboard thousands of student records.

Individual students (and their lecturers) can do direct enrollment using the Register menu (requires validation).

For a report to be deemed succesfully submitted, it must be 'passed' (approved) by the student's HOD (due process clearance).

Adequate provisions have been made for schools that may want to scale NERD to cover supervision, external examination, etc in line with the approved integrated cross-institutions Dissertation, Thesis Examination, Review, and Evaluation (DiTERE) process.
