Abstract
ABSTRACTThe construction industry has increasingly adopted software solutions to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and overall quality of building projects. This study aims to assess the impact of various software tools on different aspects of construction projects, including project management, design, cost estimation, and collaboration among stakeholders. By analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data gathered through surveys and interviews with industry professionals, this research evaluates the benefit and challenges associated with software utilization in construction. The findings indicate that the use of software significantly improves project scheduling, resource management, and risk mitigation. Additionally, software application facilitates better communication and coordination among project teams, leading to more integrated and streamlined workflows. However, the study also highlights certain challenges, such as the steep learning curve for new users, the high initial costs of software acquisition, and the need for continuous training and support.Using a mixed methods approach, this research combines quantitative data from surveys distribution to construction professionals with qualitative insight from in depth interviews. The software tools examined including Building Information Modeling (BIM), project management software, cost estimation tools, and collaboration platforms. The study evaluates how these tools affect project outcomes in terms of efficiency, accuracy, cost effectiveness, and overall project quality. The results demonstrate that the adoption of software in construction projects leads to significant improvements in project scheduling accuracy, resource allocation, and risk management. Building Information Modeling (BIM), in particular, has shown substantial benefits in enhancing design accuracy and facilitating better communication among builders, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Project management software aids in tracking progress and managing deadlines, while cost estimation tools provide more accurate budgeting and financial planning. Despite these advantages, the study also identifies challenges associated with software adoption, including high initial costs, the complexity of software implementation, and the necessity for ongoing training and technical support. The resistance to change within some segments of the industry also poses a barrier to the widespread adoption of these technologiesOverall, this research provides valuable insight into the transformative effects of software on building projects and offer recommendations for maximizing the benefits while addressing the associated challenges. The conclusions drawn from this study are intended to inform construction industry stakeholders and contribute to the ongoing discourse on digital transformation in construction.
