Abstract

The Study examined factors Influencing the Usage of Family Planning Services in Bauchi Metropolis.The general objective of the study is to examine the factors influencing the usage of family planningin Bauchi metropolis, while the research will be guided with the following objectives: To identifyvarious methods of parent planning services available in Bauchi Metropolis, To examine the factorsinfluencing the usage of family planning in Bauchi Metropolis. Descriptive survey method was usedfor the study. This study was conducted within Bauchi Metropolis, Bauchi state, the area isconsidered suitable and appropriate as a result of the personal experience that the researcher hadon the area. The population of the study was 881,600 women attending specialist hospital. Thestudy pull out 175 respondents out of 881,600. In conclusion, the use of family planning services issignificantly affected by a combination of socio-economic, cultural, and infrastructural factors. Theinterplay between these elements determines the overall effectiveness and reach of family planninginitiatives. The study recommended that: Implementation of comprehensive educational programsaimed at increasing awareness about the benefits and options of family planning. Target theseprograms to both men and women, and ensure they are culturally sensitive.
