Abstract
ABSTRACTThis project titled “Impact Of Non-Governmental Organization Towards Community Development in Tarauni Local Government Area of Kano State” the objectives of this study were To obtained the main focusing areas of Non-governmental Organization in Tarauni Local Government Area of Kano State.To examine the impact of Non-Governmental Organization activities towards community development in Tarauni Local Government Area of Kano State.To examine the challenges faces by Non-governmental organizations in Tarauni Local Government Area of Kano State Kano State.The researcher adopted a survey design. The population of the study comprises all the Non-governmental organization in Tarauni L.G.A Kano State who had been registered with Kano state. The totals registered of this Non-governmental organization are between ninety nine (99). The sample size of this study were one hundred and fifty (150). The major instrument for the collection of data in this study is questionnaire. The data collected will be analyzed and interpreted in a tabular form. Frequency and Simple percentages were use for demographic data while the questionnaire were interpreted with the use of Mean and Standard Deviation. The findings of this study reveals that NGOs in Tarauni L.G.A. focus on education, healthcare, economic empowerment, and human rights advocacy, with education receiving the most emphasis. They improve literacy, healthcare access, and financial stability through scholarships, training, and public health programs. However, gender equality efforts face cultural resistance. Despite their positive impact, NGOs struggle with financial constraints, infrastructure gaps, bureaucracy, and cultural barriers, requiring better funding, policies, and community engagement for effectiveness. These are the Recommendations of the study;Enhanced Financial Support and Diversification of Funding Sources. Infrastructure Development for Better Service Delivery Policy Reforms and Reduced Bureaucratic Hurdles.Strengthening Community Engagement and Sensitization.Expansion of Educational and Vocational Training Programs.Strengthening Healthcare Outreach and Awareness Campaign.Advocacy for Gender Equality and Social Justice. Monitoring and Evaluation for Improved Impact Assessment
