Abstract
Solar energy is a clean, easily accessible and abundantly available alternative energy source in nature. Using a fixed Photo-voltaic panels extract maximum energy only during 12 noon to 2 PM in Nigeria which results in less energy efficiency. This project focuses on the development and evaluation of a dual- axis solar tracking device using esp32 micro-controller, integrated with a data logger for performance monitoring. The primary objective is to enhance the efficiency of solar panels by ensuring optimal orientation toward the sun throughout the day. The system employs light-dependent resistors (LDRs) for real-time tracking and servo motors for precise adjustments. The data logger records various performance metrics, allowing for comprehensive analysis. Results demonstrate a significant improvement in energy capture compared to fixed solar panels, highlighting the system's potential for cost-effective solar energy solutions.
