Actors as Servants of the Script: a Case Study of Sola Sobowale's Role as "oba" in the King of Boys and "awarun" in Anikulapo

Abstract
This work is divided into five chapters. Firstly, the researcher introduces the study, it analyzed the actors commitment to the script and issues of actors being able to serve the script, we understood the inability of actors to learn and listen, which is a major challenge for the actors. A historical overview of actor, reviews on the script analysing, examines actors as servants of the script, acting for stage to the set and acting theories with focus on Constantine Stanislavsky's acting theory was approved. The researcher made use of the qualitative research method including an interview with the actor under study on how she was able to be committed to the script and her acting believable. The researcher recommends that the actors must make research on yhe character they intend to portray, must have the ability to combine interpretation and creativity in interpreting tge roles as an actor. Scholars, students and theatre artists should also carry out further research that would benefit the arts and other fields of study to achieve outstanding acting.
