Abstract
ABSTRACT This study investigated the impact of physiological factors specifically maternal age and pain management—on the ease of labor among 100 pregnant women attending Waziri Shehu Gidado Teaching Hospital in Ungogo Local Government Area, Kano State. Data were collected using questionnaires, patient interviews, and medical record reviews. Maternal age was stratified into three categories: 30 years, while pain management effectiveness was classified as effective or non-effective. Findings revealed that women aged 20–30 years experienced smoother labor, with 25% reporting mild and 30% reporting moderate labor, compared to higher rates of severe labor among women
