Assessment of the Problems in Managing Residential Properties in Awka Anambra Nigeria

Residential property management is crucial for maintaining the value and integrity of properties, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and generating income for property owners. However, managing residential properties in Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria, is faced with numerous challenges. This study aims at to identify the problems in managing residential properties, to assess the factors that affect the management of residential properties and to examine the impact of these factors in the management of residential properties in Awka. By analyzing this aspect, the research seeks to provide insight into how Estate Surveyors and Valuers enhance their practice and contribute effectively to property management in a rapid transforming Real Estate market. The scope of this study is to conduct a critical study of the management of residential property only and the problems of residential property management in the Awka metropolis.This research work will be formulated according to data,questionnaire and interview carried out the registered Estate Surveyors and Valuers and occupiers(property owners and tenants).The primary source of data(questionnaire and interview) and secondary source of data(academic journal and publications).This research will facilitate greater cooperation and coordination among different stakeholders in the management of residential properties in Awka, including real estate surveyors and valuers,academias,researchers,the government, property owners, tenants, real estate developers, and civil society organizations. The Researcher looks into constraints to effective property management in Awka. It makes recommendation as to the best way to manage these properties and finally, draws conclusion. I sincerely believe that this research will be useful in enlightening various authorities, researchers, investor etc on the need for prudent management of properties throughout the nation.
