Abstract

ABSTRACT ‎This study examines human resources management and employee performance.Three hypotheses were drawn from the research questions and a self administered questionnaire was used to measure the relationship between the variables using the sample size of 185 respondents from selected case study.However, 180 questionnaires were properly filled and returned back and were considered good for analysis. The analysis of collected data was done through the simple percentage (%) and Pearson Moment Correlation Analysis test. It was found that there is a strong positive relationship between recruitment/selection practices and employee performance, compensation/benefit strategies and employee performance and training/development programs and employee performance of Nigerian bottling company, and Guinness Nigeria plc. Based on the findings of the study. the researcher concludes that there is a strong relationship between human resources management and employee performance of Nigerian bottling company, and Guinness Nigeria plc. It was therefore recommended that the stated firm's recruitment process should be made online and comprehensive to foster, that the should be given freedom to facilitate job posting as that will enhance employee retention. ‎
