Effect of Responsiveness on Customers Satisfaction in Selected Hotels in Auchi, Edo State

Abstract
ABSTRACT This study examines effect of responsiveness on customers satisfaction in some selected hotels in Auchi, Edo State. The aim of the study is to investigate the relationship between responsiveness and customer satisfaction. Survey research was adopted in the study to examine the relationship between responsiveness and customer satisfaction. The target population of the study were staff and guests of Uyi Grand Hotel, Danisco Hotel and Presto Hotel in Auchi metropolis. The sample size 123 was determined using Taro Yamane‟s formula. Primary data were obtained using questionnaires administered to the target population of staff and guests visiting Uyi grand, Danisco and Presto hotels. The study found that quick response to customer needs had a significant impact on their level of satisfaction. Therefore, it was recommended that management of hospitality industries should respond promptly to the needs of customers as quickly as possible.
