Abstract
This study was conducted to evaluate the preference of Yan Kasa rams fed graded levels of ensiled tomato pomace and corn cob. The objective was to explore alternative feed sources to reduce competition for food resources between humans and livestock. A feeding trial was carried out using Yan Kasa rams reared specifically for research purposes. Different combinations of tomato pomace and corn cob were ensiled and offered to the animals, and their feed intake and preference were recorded. The results showed positive acceptance and good performance by the rams across the different graded levels, indicating the potential of these agro-industrial by-products as sustainable feed alternatives. This study contributes to promoting efficient resource utilization in livestock nutrition while addressing food security concerns.
