Abstract

This project is aimed at development of electrical power generator (fuelless generator) as an alternative energy means using mechanical derive. However, various steps was adopted, which ranges from material selection to fabrication, as the system is enclosed in boxed shaped container with 4 circular ventilation openings at the two sides of the box, to allow air inflow into the system. The key elements are high torque DC motor, generator (AC), 2 pieces of 12V, 18AH battery. Furthermore, the system converts 12V batteries connected in series to output range of 120V ~ 240V, and a current range of 3A ~ 6.7A. The system runtime is dependent on the capacity of the input power and the battery run hour. However, the system is expected to power loads up to about 75% ~ 80% of its output power. The system produced apparent power of 1541AV and real power of 800W. The materials are selected to suit the project drawing design and help achieve the aim of this project. These materials include metal angle bar, HDF wood, angle brackets, nuts and bolts, wires and other elements. Furthermore other important components include, 2 pieces of battery rated (12V, 18AH), high speed DC motor rated (12V, 0.25A, 600~1500 rpm), 2 pieces of hub, 3 pieces of belt for the Mechanical drive, metal alignment for holding the driver and the coil in a steady alignment, AC coil, foam for damping away the system’s vibration, charge controller which charges the battery while utilizing solar energy, changeover switch for closing and opening the system’s electrical circuit, and AC socket which is the terminal at which the system gives out power for useful work.
