Abstract
The skin, as the largest organ of the human body, plays a crucial role in protection, sensation, and homeostasis. To maintain skin health, various skin care products are used, with increasing preference for natural ingredients due to concerns over synthetic chemicals' side effects. Herbal extracts, known for their antioxidant, antimicrobial, and skin-nourishing properties, are prominently featured in modern skin care formulations. This project explores the production and evaluation of herbal soaps enriched with carrot and papaya extracts, alongside conventional antiseptic agents like Lysol and sulphur. The study focuses on evaluating their antimicrobial efficacy against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Candida albican using agar plate assays. Results demonstrate that carrot soap exhibits robust antibacterial and moderate antifungal activities, suggesting its potential as a natural alternative for skin health maintenance.
