Abstract
An investigation of microbiological and physio-chemical properties of drinking water samples from different halls of residence in BOUESTI. The water samples were subject to physio-chemical analysis using standard methods. The microbial isolation was done by a streak plate using nutrient agar and selective media for their identification. The final identification was done with reference to the Bergey’s Manual of determinative bacteriology. The Physio-chemical parameters of the five water samples were within the permissible level recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO). The total plate count was above the WHO guideline values (
