This study examines the role of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) in controlling corruption in the Nigerian public service. Corruption has been a major challenge to Nigeria's development, undermining governance and economic growth. The EFCC, established in 2003, is a key anti-corruption agency tasked with investigating and prosecuting economic and financial crimes. This study assesses the EFCC's impact on corruption control, identifying challenges and suggesting improvements. Using a mixed-methods approach, the study finds that the EFCC has made significant strides in combating corruption, but faces challenges such as inadequate funding, political interference, and limited capacity. The study recommends strengthening the EFCC's autonomy, enhancing its capacity, and promoting interagency collaboration to improve its effectiveness in controlling corruption in the Nigerians
