Abstract
Radio remains one of the most influential mass communication channels in Nigeria because of its affordability, accessibility, and ability to reach diverse audiences in real time. This study examines the impact of the Frank Talk program on Rave FM located in Osun State and how it shapes awareness, civic consciousness, and public discourse among residents of Osogbo Local Government. The study explores the extent to which the program influences public opinion, enhances knowledge of societal issues, and encourages participation in community development. Using a combination of survey questionnaires and interviews, the study investigates audience perception, frequency of listening, and the effectiveness of the program in addressing local and national concerns. Findings reveal that Frank Talk significantly contributes to residents understanding of governance, social issues, and community affairs while promoting inclusiveness in public discourse. The research concludes that Rave FM remains a strong medium for enlightenment and social development in the region.
