Abstract
ABSTRACT
Epileptic power supply is the hallmark of available power to electricity consumers in Nigeria. The standard voltage required by SON to be supplied to electricity consumers by the DISCOs is 220V+- 20V. In reality, the voltage from the DISCOs is either above the +20V margin or below the -20V margin. For the consumer to solve this problem, he uses a voltage stabilizer. The voltage stabilizer uses a voltage control circuit and a transformer to ensure that the output voltage from the DISCO to the load is within the specified standard stated above. This research work used Proteus to simulate the stabilizer system and the output voltage from the stabilizer was always within the specified limit.
