Abstract

Poor stage performance and the absence of comprehensive documentation among theatre practitioners serve as the primary motivations for this study. The objective of the research is both execute and document the interpretation of UcheIgwe's 51st Anniversary (monologue) on stage. The findings highlight a consistent disconnect between stage acting and technology, which had the potential to significantly enhance actors performance, such as the use of microphone to amplify their voices. Additionally, it underscores the critical role that proper documentation plays in elevating theatre as a recognized art from among other performance genres. In light of these findings, the study advocates for the provision of essential materials and equipment to support stage performances. It ultimately concludes that acting, as a medium of imitating human action, can play a pivotal role in positively shaping society.
