Fabrication of a Four Unit Dental Flask With Non Conductible Heat Handle

This project work was aimed at the local fabrication of four unit dental flask in reference to imported one (selected Dental Centre, in Ogun State). Due to high cost of importation of dental flask and its non availability in time of need, which initiated the idea of fabricating a four unit of non conductible heat handle dental flask locally of which was fabricated at Ikorodu, Lagos State as substitute for the imported ones, also adhering strictly to the principle governing the functionality of the non conductible heat handle dental flask for the purpose of flasking multiple jobs at a time in dental technology laboratory. From the findings, it revealed that (100%) of the respondents agreed that there will be possible to fabricate local non conductible heat handle dental flask in Nigeria through research work and 100% majority of the respondents agreed that there will be raw materials to fabricate it as a local fabrication of four unit dental flask. It is hereby concluded that the dental technologist can now switch from purchasing imported dental flask and flask to locally fabricated ones since it matches the quality of the imported ones and more cheaper in terms of cost. It is therefore recommended that dental personnel’s in the field and dental students in training should be encouraged to shift their focus on how to produce local substitute of dental equipment which is cheap and dependable and dental schools should start offering courses that are related to the fabrication of local substitute of dental equipment’s.
