Abstract
Cervical cancer is defined as the abnormal growth of cells in the cervix, which is the lower part of the uterus that connects to the vagina. It primarily arises from persistent infection with high-risk types of human papillomavirus (HPV), a sexually transmitted virus (Walboomers et al., 2019). It is due to the abnormal growth of cells that have the ability to invade or spread to other parts of the body (National Cancer Institute,2020). This project aims at exploring the knowledge, treatment and care of cervical cancer patient at University of Calabar teaching hospital
