Abstract
The project aims to optimize the biochemical conversion of these lignocellulosic biomass into bioethanol. The effects of various pretreatment methods, enzyme, and fermentation conditions on the yield and efficiency of bioethanol production were evaluated. The results show that, sugarcane bagasse proves to be a more efficient feedstock for bioethanol production, yielding higher amounts of glucose, fructose, and ethanol compared to corn stover. And both feedstocks show improved ethanol yields with higher solvent volumes, which enhance the solubilization of sugars and the breakdown of lignocellulosic structures. This research contributes to the development of a sustainable and cost.effective process for bioethanol production from renewable biomass sources. The findings of this study have implications for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, promotion of energy security, and creation of new economic opportunities in the bioenergy sector.
