Comparative Analysis and Design of Multi-Storey Building Using Protastructure and Manual Calculations.

The theoretical design and analysis of structurally framed buildings serves as the general foundation for this project. Assumptions, solid knowledge, and critical thinking were all necessary during the structural planning and design process. ProtaStructure design software was used for the analysis and design of a G+10 story residential building, with the results compared to human calculations. The PROTASTRUCTURE design program is used to analyze the structure as a whole. The Auto CAD drafting software will be used for all drafting and detailing, and it will also serve as a foundation for transferring the structure for analysis and design in PROTASTRUCTURE. In this project, the EUROCODE 2 is used to compute the design of the slab, beam, column, footings, etc. utilizing the “Limit State Method.” Various loads are in use on the member is evaluated in accordance with the code book. The building’s architectural design will be completed using AutoCAD software, while the structural elements will be analyzed using PROTASTRUCTURE design software. PROTADETAILS, a component of ProtaStructure, will be used to detail the reinforcement, and the final results will be exported to AutoCAD. It is anticipated that following analysis and design utilizing the ProtaStructure design software, the output from the program will be able to compare, in terms of efficiency and time consumption, to the output from manual calculations. Additionally, it is anticipated that the comparison of the ProtaStructure Software analysis and the manual computation should demonstrate that while the design is somewhat different in terms of numerical approximations, the analysis is the same.
