Abstract
The study investigates the antimicrobial activity of chlorine disinfectant on microorganisms isolated from water tanks in student residential halls. Water samples were collected, cultured, and tested against various concentrations of chlorine. The results showed that chlorine significantly reduced microbial load, confirming its effectiveness as a disinfectant for stored water. The study recommends proper water tank maintenance and regular chlorination to ensure safe drinking water in student environments.
