Abstract
ABSTRACT
This study explores the role of Islamic education in nation-building, using the life, teachings, and contributions of Late Shaykh Abdullah Jibril as a case study. The research aims to examine how Islamic education can be utilized to promote national development, unity, and social cohesion.
A qualitative approach was employed, using content analysis and thematic analysis to examine the life and teachings of Shaykh Abdullah Jibril. The findings of the study reveal that Islamic education can play a vital role in promoting national development, unity, and social cohesion.
The study identifies several themes that highlight the significance of Islamic education in nation-building, including the importance of Islamic values and principles, the role of Islamic education in promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and the significance of Islamic education in promoting national identity and citizenship using the life, teachings and contributions of late Shaykh Abdullahi Jibril Imam Sahban as a case study.
The study concludes that Islamic education can be a powerful tool for nation-building, and recommends that Islamic Scholars, policymakers and educators prioritize Islamic education in their efforts to promote national development and unity.
