Impact of Microfinance Bank on Small Scale Enterprises in Nigeria (case Study Microfinance Bank Tudun Wada)

ABSTRACT
This study is an attempt to emnpirically examine the "role of microfinance bank on the
development of small and nedium scale enterprises of Nigeria. The researcher conducts field
Survey and administered questionnaire to gather data. A total number of 63 respondents were
sampled and formed the analysis of responses. The researccher decides to apply the Taro Yamani
formula and chi-square to determine the appropriate number of sample size that could
represents general opinion of the total population, and the chi-square was used for data analysis
and test of hypothesis. The investigation reveals that there is significant relationship between
micro finance bdk thvesiment and small and medium scale enterprises in Kaduna, Nigeria. Tne
study recommended that the Government agency (Central Bank of Nigeria) in charge of the
Supervision of Micro Finance banks should put strict measures in place to ensure strict
compliance to regulations so that credits advanced to customers are used for purely economnic
nurpose for which they are granted, the credit department of Microfinance banks shoula be
equipped to effectively monitor use of micro credit andthe investment department of
Microfinance banks should ensure credit lines are given to areas that will grow the economy,
which are the real sectors of the economy like the manufacturing and agricultural sectors.
