Impact of Microfinance Banks on the Performance of Small Scale Businesses in Ekiti State

Abstract
This study examines the impact of microfinance banks on the performance of small scale businesses in Ekiti State. The research aims to determine how access to microfinance loans, savings, and advisory services influence business growth, profitability, and sustainability. A descriptive research design was adopted, and data were collected through questionnaires administered to selected small business owners. The study revealed that microfinance banks play a significant role in improving financial inclusion and enhancing the productivity of small scale enterprises. It concluded that increased support from microfinance institutions contributes to business expansion, job creation, and poverty reduction. The study recommends that government and financial institutions strengthen microfinance policies to ensure continuous support for small businesses.
