Abstract
The ability to plan, prioritize and execute tasks within the available time has become an essential skill for employees particularly in industries where efficiency are key determinants of success, especially in the logistics sector where efficient and timely delivery of services is important, employees with ineffective time management skills are more likely to experience burnout than those who can effectively manage their time as well as high level of job related stress and reduced overall job satisfaction in the workplace and this poses high risks to their emotional well-being, the study examined the role of time management practices on the overall emotional well-being of logistics employees.A cross-sectional research design was adopted with purposive sampling technique, the study used both questionnaire and interview to gather primary data, the quantitative data collected was analyzed using SPSS and the qualitative data was thematically analyzed, the study revealed a frequent use of time management practices (66.7%) always practiced good time management and (52.4%) always prioritized task. However, regression analysis showed no statistically significant relationships between specific time management practices such as prioritization (p = 0.835), goal setting (p = 0.396), delegation (p = 0.761), automation (p = 0.533), devotion to single tasks (p = 0.983), or project division (p = 0.295) and emotional well-being, though qualitative responses consistently indicated a positive impact. However, feelings of stress (33.3%) and burnout (30.2%) were still reported frequently, indicating that time management alone may not fully shield employees from the dynamics of logistics sector. In light of the findings of the study it is recommended that logistics companies should organize regular time management workshops and training to improve employees emotional well-being and the employees should also adopt effective time management practices and productivity tools to help them manage their time effectively.
