Administrative and Psychological Variables as Correlates of Kwara United Performance in Nigeria Premier League

Abstract
Sport is a universal phenomenon that encompasses a wide range of physical, mental, and social activities. This study investigated the relationship between administrative and psychological variables and Kwara United's performance in the Nigeria Premier League. A descriptive survey research design was adopted, with a sample size of 70 respondents selected using stratified random sampling technique. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data, which was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The study examined the influence of budgeting allocation, financial management crisis, match fixing, leadership style, motivation, team cohesion, self-confidence, and pressure of fans on team performance. The findings revealed suggest that improving administrative efficiency and psychological preparedness can enhance Kwara United's performance. The study's results have implications for football teams, administrators, and policymakers seeking to improve team success in the Nigeria Premier League.The study results have implications for improving administrative efficiency and psychological preparedness in football teams characterized by competition, skill, and adherence to rules.
