Abstract
ABSTRACTThis research was carried out purposely to find out the factors affecting the participation of women in vocational education in Maiduguri Metropolitan council of Borno state.The objectives of the study was to determine the level of the participation of women in vocational education, fifteen (15) research questions were used. The sample of the data was based on random sampling; percentage was used as method to analyze the data. The result of the research found out that the number of women in business education and secretariat study is higher than that of men; it also found that the social status of women makes them to be low in having status of women makes them to be low in having Vocational education. Summary and conclusion was drawn from the research and the recommendation were; men should give women amplitude opportunities in developing their skills in vocational training and accept those who are exceptionally good to hold appropriate positions, Vocational education center heads should seek the assistance of local government, philanthropist and well-meaning Nigerians in improving the quality of that level.
