Material Management and Organizational Performance of Aluminium Companies in River State

Abstract
This study investigates the relationship between material management practices and organizational performance in aluminum companies in Rivers State. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining survey questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with 50 employees and managers from 10 aluminum companies. The results show a significant positive correlation between effective material management and organizational performance indicators such as productivity, quality, and cost reduction. Key material management practices influencing organizational performance include inventory control, procurement, and financial management optimization. The study concludes that aluminum companies in Rivers State can enhance their performance by implementing efficient material management strategies. The findings contribute to the understanding of material management’s role in organizational success within the Nigerian aluminum industry.
