Abstract
Air pollution has become one of the most pressing environmental challenges of modern society, affecting public health, climate, and overall quality of life. This project presents the design and construction of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based air pollution management system capable of monitoring and reporting air quality in real time. The system integrates sensors such as MQ-135 and DHT11 to detect harmful gases, temperature, and humidity levels. These sensors are connected to a microcontroller (such as Arduino or ESP8266) which processes and transmits the collected data to a cloud server through Wi-Fi connectivity. The data can then be accessed remotely via a web or mobile interface for continuous monitoring and analysis. When pollution levels exceed safe thresholds, the system triggers alerts to notify users or relevant authorities for prompt action. This innovative IoT-based approach enables efficient tracking of environmental conditions, supports data-driven decision-making, and promotes proactive air quality management. The system is cost-effective, scalable, and suitable for urban and industrial applications, contributing to sustainable environmental monitoring and control.
