Abstract
ABSTRACT
This research work examined the impact of selection process in an organization performance using Auchi Polytechnic, as a Case Study. The purpose of this research is to find solution to most of the problems that are encountered in the recruitment and selection process in an organization. The broad objective of the study is to ascertain if effective recruitment policy improves workers job performance and also to investigate if recruitment and selection programme is adequately funded by organizations. A sample size of 120 was adopted for this study using the systematic sampling technique. The chi-square statistical tool was used to test the hypotheses and the findings revealed that recruitment and selection programme is adequately funded by organizations and that recruitment and selection shape employees' behavior and attitude. The study recommended among others that in designing and instituting recruitment and selection criteria, quality should not be compromised
