Design and Implementation of Automated Academic Record System for Gateway to Knowledge for Success Schools, Kano

The rapid advancement of technology has transformed various sectors, including education, necessitating the automation of academic record management systems. This project aims to design and implement an automated academic record system for Gateway to Knowledge for Success Schools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and data security. Chapter 1 discusses the introduction to the study, including background, problem statement, aim, objectives, and significance. Chapter 2 gives a review of existing literature on academic record management systems and relevant technologies. Chapter 3 lists out methodology outlining the Agile development approach, system design and functional requirements. Chapter 4 describes the implementation, including system development using PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript followed by testing and evaluation. Lastly, chapter 5 talks about the summary, conclusion, recommendations for system enhancement and adoption in similar educational institutions. The findings indicate that the proposed system enhances data accuracy, streamlines administrative processes, and provides a secure and user-friendly interface for stakeholders. This project concludes that automation significantly improves academic record management and recommends further integration with mobile platforms and AI-driven analytics for predictive insights.
