Abstract
This project deals with the modelling and simulation of static behaviour of wing fuselage lug attachment bracket in the airframe structure, using finite element method. Analysis was carried out in two case by using different materials, the first case made use of heat treated steel alloy AISI 4340 the lug portion in wing attachment bracket and Aluminium alloy 2024 T351 for I sectional spar and rivets in the wing attachment bracket while in the second case Titanium alloy Ti 6Al 4V with less density was used for the lug portion in wing attachment bracket and A1uminium alloy 7075 T6 material used for I sectional spar and rivets in the wing attachment, and their behaviour in static analysis is studied and results shows that second case materials are better compared to first case for the bracket and could be used for bracket fabrication.
