Power and Authority in Machiavelli's Political Thought: an Appraisal

This paper explores the intricate and often controversial concepts of power and authority in Niccolò Machiavelli's political thought. Machiavelli, a seminal figure of the Renaissance, provides a pragmatic approach to political leadership that diverges sharply from the idealistic views of his contemporaries.
