Abstract
This report presents the development and implementation of a Smart Blind Walking Stick aimed at improving the mobility and safety of visually impaired individuals. This walking stick is designed to detect obstacles in front of the user using an ultrasonic sensor and provide instant feedback through a vibration motor and buzzer. The system offers a real-time warning mechanism that allows the user to react appropriately and navigate more safely. A vibration motor is used to give haptic feedback to the user, while the buzzer serves as an audible alert mechanism for the guardian or others in the vicinity. The power management of the system is ensured through the use of an LM7805 voltage regulator, which provides a stable 5V power supply to all components from a 7.4V lithium-ion battery. This simple yet efficient solution promotes independence and safety, reducing reliance on others for navigation and movement.
