Abstract
This report examines the critical role of battery selection, calculation, and installation to ensure a reliable and efficient solar power system. A comprehensive analysis of various battery types, capacities, and configurations, such as series, parallel and series-parallel connections is conducted for system efficiency and reliability. Solar batteries play a vital role in solar systems due to their ability to store Direct Current (DC) energy, which is essential for maintaining a reliable energy supply. Unlike Alternating Current (AC), which cannot be stored, DC power can be effectively stored in batteries, allowing for a consistent energy flow. The report also emphasizes the significance of proper installation techniques for ensuring system safety. The report involved the installation of a smart 5KVA inverter system alongside with some key components like solar panels, MPPT charge controller, batteries, etc. The installation process of a solar mini grid is thoroughly documented, explaining each steps to follow while installing a solar mini grid. Additionally, it explores economical and environmental benefits of a solar power systems.
