Abstract
This study investigates the use of sugarcane bagasse, an agricultural waste, to develop eco-friendly biopolymer-based drilling fluids. The extracted biopolymers showed excellent rheological and filtration properties comparable to synthetic polymers. Results demonstrated improved drilling efficiency, reduced environmental impact, and lower costs. Overall, the research confirms that agricultural waste can be effectively utilized to produce sustainable drilling fluids, supporting greener and more efficient drilling operations.
