Financial Crisis Management on Banking Industry in Nigeria (a Case Study of Ecobank Plc Auchi • Branch)

The study empirically examined financial crisis management on banking in Nigeria. The objectives of the study are to determine the effect Crisis management on the enhancement of effective performance in the banking industry, to ascertain the effects of Bank crisis on the level of customer's service and o ascertain the effect of government policies on crisis management inbanking industry. The research applied primary and secondary data, which will be source from questionnaire administered and financial statements extracted from the annual report of ecobanks..The study made use of chi-square technique for its analysis. Based on the analysis, the following findings revealed thus; Bank Crisis depend on the management, bank does not follow up the loan given to their customers which make them to fall into financial crisis because there are lots of overdue loans unpaid and non-compliance with laid down government policies is the major reason for crisis in the banking industry. It was recommended among others that banks should practice effective crisis management in order to enhance productivity and performance of the banking industry, bank should make sure that before giving any of their customers a Huge amount of loan or credit they should be rest assured that the collateral provided by such customers is genuine and reliable should incases his/her was able to pay back the loans, so they can fell back to the collateral and be able to recover their money back.Keyword: crisis, Management, Crisis Management, Loan.
