Abstract
ABSTRACTTherapeutic body massage is a widely practiced complementary health intervention that promotes physical and psychological well-being. This paper explores the ethical dimensions of therapeutic massage, focusing on key principles such as informed consent, professional boundaries, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity. The study reviews ethical guidelines from various professional bodies and examines potential ethical dilemmas, including issues of personal boundaries, dual relationships, and the risk of exploitation. Additionally, the paper discusses the role of licensing, regulatory frameworks, and professional training in maintaining ethical standards. The analysis highlights the importance of practitioner integrity, client autonomy, and ethical communication in ensuring a safe and effective therapeutic experience. This review contributes to the ongoing discourse on ethical best practices in massage therapy and emphasizes the need for continuous professional education and adherence to ethical codes to safeguard both practitioners and clients.This Study makes use of the analytic critical method for a proper understanding of the work.
