Abstract
Ensuring seamless VoIP communication, particularly during handovers, is crucial for maintaining quality of service in mobile environments. As mobile users travel across different network regions, they experience varying levels of call stability, signal strength, and connectivity reliability, which can lead to interruptions, degraded audio quality, and dropped calls. These issues are exacerbated by factors such as handover delays, network congestion, signal attenuation, and differences inmobile technology compatibility. Thus, analyzing and optimizing VoIP handover processes is essential to improving user experience and ensuring uninterrupted voice communication. This study aims to investigate the impact of mobility on VoIP performance, with a focus on WhatsApp calls, and to explore potential optimization strategies. By assessing call quality indicators, interruptions, and dropped call rates, this research seeks to identify key challenges affecting handovers. Moreover, this study aims to propose effective solutions for mitigating VoIP handover inefficiencies. These include enhanced handover algorithms, improved network infrastructure, bandwidth management, and national roaming agreements that enable seamless transitions between different network providers. The insights from this research will contribute to the development of more robust VoIP handover mechanisms, ultimately enhancing call quality andconnectivity for mobile users.
