Effect of Public Policy Implemetation on Community Development in Nigeria (a Study of Primary Healthcare System in Tofa Lga of Kano State)

Abstract
This study is aimed at ascertaining the effect of public policy implementation on community development in Nigeria, a study of Primary Healthcare system in Tofa local government Area of Kano state. The frontier of this study covers the dynamics of public policy implementation and community development. The study covers a period between 2019 to 2023. The study adopted two theories; Humanistic theory by scholars like Abraham Maslow, Carl Rogers, and James F. T. Bugental (1900's) and progressive utility Theory by PrabhatRanjan in (1962). The researcher used descriptive research survey design in building up this project work. The population of this study consists of 162,200, forming the entire members of Tofa community. The sample size of the target population is 399 respondent which was determine using Taro Yamani formula. The researcher adopt simple random sampling technique to obtain data. The data was collected using structured questionnaire and analyse using both descriptive statistical tools and chi-square test of research hypothesis at 0.05 level of significance. The finding of this test showcased that, public policy implementation has not enhance development in Tofa. The study therefore recommend a more effective and collaborative approach to public policy implementation, considering the specific needs and context of tthe community.
