Impact of Fuel Subsidy Removal on Job Satisfaction of Public Servant a Study of Sokoto State Metropolis

Abstract
This study attempts to examine the effect of socio-economic infrastructure on rural development in Katsina State, Nigeria. The study chose three local governments- Batagarawa, Mani, and Dandume Local Governments as the geographical scope, while schools, electricity, road and healthcare infrastructures were the subject scope. The study spans the period of Eight (8) years (2015-2022). The study population was 510,683, out of which 550 were taken as the sample size using Saunders (2007) sampling method. A total of 520 questionnaires were returned both from the rural populace and staff respondents, and data was collected mainly through primary sources. Regression and correlation analysis were used in testing the formulated hypotheses to establish the extent of the level of provisions of socio-economic infrastructure and rural development. Findings of the study indicated that, the levels of provisions of school infrastructure, electricity infrastructure, road infrastructure and health infrastructure have significantly promoted rural development in Batagarawa, Mani and Dandume Local Governments of Katsina State. The study recommends that, the Katsina State Government should provide more socio-economic infrastructure in order to continue to develop the rural areas of the State.
