Social Media Marketing and Customer Loyalty of Mobile Telecommunication Firms in Port Harcourt

Abstract

This study has highlighted the relationship between Social Media Marketing and Customer Loyalty of Mobile Telecommunication Firms in Port Harcourt. The cross sectional survey research design was considered most appropriate for this study. The population of interest for this study comprised of the four major mobile Mobile Telecommunication companies in Port Harcourt; MTN Nigeria, Glo Nigeria, 9Mobile, and Airtelour respondents consisted of management staff of the four major Mobile Telecommunication firms in Port Harcourt; The General manager, Regional manager, Sales manager, Retail supervisor, Sales supervisor, Department manager, Team leader and Customer service supervisor. 8 copies of questionnaire was administered to the aforementioned management staff and supervisors of the four main Mobile Telecommunication firms bringing our total respondents to 32,Based on the findings of this study, the study recommends that Mobile Telecommunication firms in Port Harcourt should use social media marketing to update customers on sales, promotions and new products and/or services.
