Abstract
ABSTRACTThis experiment investigates the impact of incorporating pozzolana material, specifically sawdust, on the mechanical properties of sandcrete blocks. Sandcrete blocks are widely used in construction due to their affordability and ease of production, but they often lack sufficient strength and durability. By adding pozzolana material like sawdust, which is known for its pozzolanic properties, the aim is to enhance the mechanical properties of the sandcrete blocks. The experiment involves preparing different batches of sandcrete blocks with varying proportions of sawdust as a partial replacement for sand. Mechanical tests including compressive strength, flexural strength, and durability assessments will be conducted to evaluate the effects of the sawdust inclusion on the performance of the sandcrete blocks. The results of this study will provide insights into the feasibility and effectiveness of using pozzolana material like sawdust to improve the mechanical properties of sandcrete blocks, contributing to sustainable and environmentally friendly construction practices.
