Valuation of Amaranths (amaranthus Species) Cultivars in Some Parts of the Sahel Savanna Zone of Nigeria

Abstract
A field trial was conducted during the 2024 wet season at the research farm of AuduBako College of Agriculture, Dambatta, Kano State, Nigeria. The treatments were laid outin a randomized complete block design (RCBD) and replicated three times. The resultsof the study revealed that Ex- Shantake and Ex- Marke exhibited similar responses ingrowth parameters, including the number of leaves, plant height, and number ofbranches. However, Ex- Marke outperformed other treatments in terms of leaf area indexand fresh yield parameters
