Abstract
ABSTRACTThe study examined how ATMs, mobile banking, POS, and internet banking affect Nigerian banks’ performance (measured by Return on Equity). Using data from 2012–2021, it found that all four technologies had negative but insignificant effects on profitability. In short, while IT is essential for banking operations, it hasn’t yet led to noticeable financial gains. The study recommends better system integration, customer education, and regular performance reviews to improve results.
