Abstract
ABSTRACTThis study examines the impact of the Revitalisation Fund on the development of Northwest University, Kano, with a focus on infrastructure, academic quality, and institutional growth. Employing a descriptive research design, the study captures the nuanced effects of the fund through a structured methodology. The population for the study comprises administrative offices, academic departments, library and ICT centers, student affairs offices, and campus facilities. A total of 100 participants were selected using simple random sampling, ensuring representation across various university stakeholders, including university management, academic and non-academic staff, ICT Facilities Personal, and infrastructure units. Data collection was conducted through structured questionnaires designed to assess the impact of the fund. These instruments underwent rigorous validation and reliability testing, including expert review and a pilot study to enhance accuracy and consistency. Data analysis employed both quantitative and qualitative methods, utilizing mean and standard deviation to interpret survey responses while applying thematic coding to interview transcripts to capture broader insights. The findings reveal that the Revitalisation Fund has significantly enhanced university infrastructure, improved academic programs, and strengthened research capacity. Moreover, faculty and students recognize its role in fostering a more conducive learning environment. However, challenges such as funding sustainability, resource allocation inefficiencies, and infrastructural maintenance remain critical areas for further intervention. This study contributes to the discourse on higher education financing by providing empirical evidence on the transformative potential of targeted funding initiatives. The insights gained offer valuable guidance for policymakers, university administrators, and educational planners in optimizing resource utilization for sustainable institutional growth.nding.Appendix IASSESSMENT ON THE REVITALIZATION FUND IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF NIGERIAN UNIVERSITIES, A CASE STUDY OF NORTHWEST UNIVERSITY, KANO.QuestionnaireDear Respondent,I am Gambo Usman Usman a student at Northwest University, kano, currently conducting my final year project.I kindly request your assistance in answering the following questions.
