Abstract
The study assessed entrepreneurial competencies of animal husbandry graduates in Ekiti State, Nigeria, using data from 60 final-year students. Results showed graduates possessed strong skills in business management, financial literacy, and risk management but needed improvement in leadership and innovation. Educational programs addressed basic competencies but lacked adequate focus on practical training and mentorship. Entrepreneurial skills were found to significantly enhance employment and business opportunities in the livestock sector. The study recommends improving curricula, investing in practical training facilities, and strengthening mentorship programs to better prepare graduates for success in the macro-livestock industry.
